(a) The office of Village Clerk-Treasurer is hereby abolished and replaced by the office of Fiscal Officer as provided in Ohio R.C. 733.262. The duties of the Fiscal Officer shall be the duties provided by law for the Village Clerk and Treasurer and any other duties consistent with the nature of the office that are provided for by Village ordinance.
(b) The Fiscal Officer shall not be required to be a resident of the Village.
(c) The Fiscal Officer shall be appointed by the Mayor and approved by a majority vote of Council, and may be removed or the office may be abolished as provided in Ohio R.C. 733.262. (Ord. 3267. Passed 8-7-06.)
