A Beautification Committee is hereby established as follows.
(A) Committee members shall be appointed by the Mayor.
(B) There shall be no more than six resident members of the Committee. One member of Council having responsibility for this subject matter shall serve as an ex-officio member. The Mayor shall be a voting member of the Committee. Committee members shall be appointed to three-year terms to be staggered the first year with two members appointed for full three-year terms; two members appointed for two-year terms and two members appointed for one-year terms.
(C) The Commission shall make recommendations concerning the following projects:
(1) Clean-up and litter prevention projects;
(2) Flower and tree plantings, except for city parks;
(3) General beautification projects; and
(4) Such other duties as required by ordinance or executive order of the Mayor or the Director of Public Service.
(D) The Committee shall serve as the strategic planning arm of the annual MUM Fest.
