The purpose of the National Electrical Code, as adopted in § 1406.01 of this chapter, is to establish rules and regulations governing electrical materials and installations in dwelling units of one-, two- and three-family dwellings, mobile homes and multi-family dwellings and commercial and industrial occupancy in the city.
