(A) A separate and independent sanitary sewer shall be provided for every building, except where one building stands at the rear of another on an interior lot and no sewer is available or can be constructed to the rear building through an adjoining alley, court, yard, or driveway, in which event the sewer from the front building may be extended to the rear building and the whole considered as one sanitary sewer. Multiple hook-ups in all cases shall be as prescribed and approved by the city.
(B) A separate and independent sanitary sewer is not currently required west of the Big Sioux River nor at any other location determined by the City Council to be impossible to install.
