§ 150.65 EXEMPTIONS.
   The provisions of this subchapter relating to the control of central electric heat and/or air conditioning systems and/or water heating equipment may be waived by the Director for medical, health, construction- related reasons or other conditions deemed appropriate by the Director. Documentation from a qualified medical doctor or state- licensed medical professional must be supplied to verify the validity of any medical or health related request for waiver. Control equipment shall still be required on central electric heating and/or air conditioning systems even if participation is waived though actual control shall be suspended for the duration of the waiver, and electric water heating and/or resistance heat units shall still be controlled as available unless specifically identified as exempt by the Director. Construction not requiring electrical and/or HVAC inspection, or those HVAC systems utilizing only fossil fuel shall be considered exempt from this subchapter.
