§ 150.62 LOAD MANAGEMENT EQUIPMENT.
As a condition of electric service, all eligible new residential construction, mobile home, or electrical HVAC service for which permits are required and/or obtained after October 11, 1994 shall be equipped with load management equipment provided and installed by the town and/or its authorized contractors in order to modify the operation of central electric heating and/or air conditioning systems and/or resistance heat units and/or electric water heaters exceeding 30 gallons capacity. All electrical HVAC refits, retrofits, renovations, and dual fuel heating and cooling systems requiring inspection shall be considered eligible under this subchapter. While the town shall be responsible for installing the load management equipment, the owner or customer shall be responsible for the installation of all necessary wiring from the system and/or appliance to the electrical service meter. The town reserves the right to exempt customers which it deems not appropriate for control by load management equipment.
