The Director of Public Works of the town shall act as Superintendent of the town cemeteries and shall exercise such powers and duties conferred upon him by this chapter, and any ordinance, resolution, or order of the Town Manager. The Superintendent shall have charge of the up- keep, protection, and preservation of the cemeteries. He shall be responsible for the digging of all graves and the interment and disinterment of bodies; the erection of monuments and markers; the planting of any shrubbery, trees and flowers; and the making of provisions for the entrance and exit of persons and vehicles to and from the cemeteries.
