(A) No person shall ride a bicycle, motorcycle, or moped upon any sidewalk or walkway within the town's corporate limits. Exception to this provision includes tricycles for infants, strollers, and wheelchairs, all of which may be ridden on sidewalks or walkways within the town's corporate limits.
(B) This section shall not apply to certified law enforcement officers who, in the course of their duties, shall be required to ride bicycles on the sidewalks and walkways of the town.
(C) The Chief of Police is authorized to erect signs on any roadway prohibiting the riding of bicycles thereon by any person, and when such signs are in place no person shall disobey the same.
