289.01 ESTABLISHMENT; QUALIFICATIONS OF MEMBERS; TERMS OF OFFICE.

   There is hereby established in and for the City an Audit Committee which shall consist of three members, who shall be appointed by the Mayor with the concurrence of a majority of Council. Said members should possess knowledge of the City's operations and have a background in accounting and auditing procedures. The term of office for said members shall run concurrently with the term of office of the Mayor appointing said members.

289.02 MEETINGS.

   The Audit Committee shall meet on a quarterly basis to monitor the City's financial reporting and control activities, and should meet with its independent auditors before and after each audit.

289.03 ORGANIZATION; RULES.

   The Audit Committee shall, at its first meeting, elect a Chairperson and shall establish its own rules governing its meetings and activities.
