There shall be two classes of building sewer permits: for residential, and for service other than residential. In either case, the owner or his or her agent shall make application on a special form furnished by the city. The permit applications shall be supplemented by any plans, specifications, or other information considered pertinent in the judgment of the Wastewater Superintendent.
(A) Residential building sewer tap permit fee. A fee of $750 shall be paid to the city at the time the application is filed for a residential building sewer tap permit.
(B) Non-residential building sewer tap permit fee. A fee of $150 shall be paid to the city at the time the application is filed for a nonresidential building sewer permit, which fee shall include inspection costs. This fee is in addition to the (tap) connection fee. A non-residential sewer (tap) connection fee of $750 will be charged for each EDU (equivalent dwelling unit) based on a max daily flow rate of 310 gallons per day. This fee is a base fee and additional fees may be added depending on the volume of flow, TSS, BOD, and NH3 loadings. This fee will be determined by the city’s Pretreatment Coordinator, and or Engineer, and Plant Superintendent. Example: Company Brand X has daily flow rate of 930 gallons per day of domestic sewage. 930 gpd / 310 gpd = 3 EDU @ $750 = a tap fee of $2,250.
