§ 50.10  FEES.
   (A)   Each housing unit or residential unit shall be charged a monthly fee of $10 for weekly collections. Such charge shall be billed by the city along with the bill for sewage services and shall be payable at the same time as the sewage bills. All fees collected shall be remitted to the Clerk-Treasurer for deposit. The Clerk-Treasurer, upon receiving the funds, shall record the receipts and disbursements in a manner to validate that the receipts are sufficient to cover the expenditures of the Sanitation Department. Such records shall be maintained and presented to the City Council.
   (B)   (1)   Rates for the collection of trash from each dumpster will be as follows:
         (a)   Forty dollars per month for collection of trash from dumpsters no more than two cubic yards in size;
         (b)   Forty-five dollars per month for collection of trash from dumpsters no more than three cubic yards in size; and
         (c)   Sixty dollars per month for collection of trash from dumpsters more than three cubic yards in size.
      (2)   Dumpsters will be emptied once per week. If an additional collection is necessary, the above-rates will apply to each and every additional collection.
   (C)   E-waste will be collected for an additional charge of $2 per item. E-waste collections fees must be paid to the Clerk-Treasurer prior to pick-up. Households can take E-waste items to the Goodwill Store in Scottsburg or to the Scott County Transfer/Recycle Station to recycle.
   (D)   The user charges shall be billed to the person who is billed for sewage services at the residence dwelling. If a tenant, occupant, or other nonowner is billed, the owner shall be liable for the user charge in the event payment is not made by the tenant, occupant, or other nonowner when the payment is due as herein required.
