187.44 AUTHORITY TO CONTRACT FOR CENTRAL COLLECTION SERVICES.

   The Board of Trustees of the Regional Income Tax Agency, organized by the Regional Council of Governments for the purpose of collecting municipal taxes, is hereby authorized to administer and enforce the provisions of this chapter as the agent of the City, and the duties and authority of the Administrator hereunder may be performed by the Board of Trustees of such agency through the Administrator of such agency. However, the Administrator of such agency shall have no authority to abate interest provided for in Section 187.23.
