141.05 VACANCIES, PROMOTIONS AND DEMOTIONS IN THE DIVISION OF FIRE.

(a) Whenever a vacancy occurs in the part-time personnel of the Division of Fire, the Chief, after consultation with the officers, shall recommend to the Mayor the name or names of persons deeded worthy of appointment to such vacancy.

(b) All promotions and demotions of part-time personnel in the Division of Fire shall be made by the Mayor, with the advice of the Fire Chief and Officers, and the advice and consent of Council.

(c) All vacancies, promotions, demotions of full-time personnel within the Division of Fire shall be made pursuant to the Ohio Revised Code. Entry level vacancies shall be filled from the top seven on the eligibility list, pursuant to the provisions of Section 181.05 .
