In addition to any other compensation paid to the members of the Division of Police, each member shall receive an annual uniform allowance, as provided in Section 161.18.
   Uniform allowance shall be payable on presentation of invoices for the purchase of uniform clothing or dry-cleaning thereof to the Finance Director who shall dispense the same monthly up to the maximum amounts allowed. In addition, any piece of uniform damaged in the line of duty will be replaced by the City upon approval of the Public Safety Director or Mayor.
