139.051 DETECTIVES.

The Chief of Police may assign from time to time and at his discretion a member or members of the police force to serve as detectives. Except for the uniform allowance set forth in Section 161.18, persons so assigned shall not receive additional compensation and no special testing shall be required for the assignment.
