SECTION 8.02. DIVISION OF POLICE.
There shall be a Police Chief who shall be the head of the Division of Police.
The Police Chief shall possess such qualifications for the position as established by the Safety Director consistent with applicable Ohio laws.
The Police Chief shall be responsible for the enforcement of all criminal and traffic City ordinances and Ohio laws, shall supervise the activities of all police personnel, and shall be responsible for the maintenance of all specialized equipment, other than building maintenance equipment, utilized by the Division of Police.
