161.13 COURT DUTY.

   (a)    If a City employee is required in the function of his/her job with the City to appear in Court for any reason other than jury duty, he/she shall be paid his/her regular rate of pay for all the time spent in Court and travel to and from Court. However, any witness or mileage fees received by the employee from the Court for so serving shall be turned over to the City.

   (b)    Regular rate of pay with respect to Court appearances on an employee's day off or a call in on earned leave time off shall be understood to mean pay for overtime as set forth in Section 161.15 of this Chapter.

   (c)    The maximum mileage reimbursement approved by the Internal Revenue Service shall be approved for those employees who use their own vehicles to travel to and from Court when City transportation is not available.
