155.03 JURISDICTION OF THE DIVISION.
   (a)   The Division of Engineering, Utilities and Inspection shall be responsible for providing professional civil engineering work in at an administrative, supervisory and technical level, coordinating and directing all activities regarding engineering, utilities and inspection including the Geographic Information System (GIS) function. Utilities include Sanitary Sewer, Waste Water Treatment Plants, City Water Services and Septic Systems.
   
   (b)   The Division shall direct and participate with department engineers and contract consultants in the investigation, development, design and construction of a variety of public engineering projects. The Division shall control field work and on site inspections; review reports and authorize changes to projects within the scope of the contract; coordinate public works with city departments and state and federal agencies and utility companies; plan and implement additions, modifications, and/or deletions relative to water, wastewater, storm and septic systems, in addition to other public utilities including, but not limited to, telephone, cable, gas and electric; review proposed subdivisions of land, including residential, commercial and industrial site plans for conformity to City standards, City Ordinances and good engineering practice; and inform the Planning Commission accordingly.
