(a)   There shall be a map known and designated as the Zoning Districts Map which shall show the boundaries of all zoning districts of the City.  The Zoning Districts Map reflects the districts adopted by the voters through November 2, 1999 and is hereby approved by Council Ordinance 2000-143, passed June 26, 2000, and as subsequently amended by ordinances of Council or approved by the electors of the City as provided by the Charter.
   (b)   The Zoning Districts Map, with all the notations, references and other pertinent material shown thereon, is hereby made a part of this Zoning Code.
   (c)   The Director of Planning and Zoning shall cause the Zoning Districts Map to be updated as soon as possible after amendments to it are adopted by Council and shall change the date of the Map to indicate the latest revision.  The Director of Law shall be responsible for providing to the Director of Planning and Zoning an accurate description of the approved amendment suitable for use in amending the Zoning Map. No unauthorized person may alter or modify the Map.
   (d)   The Zoning Districts Map shall be stored in the office of the Director of Planning and Zoning.  The Director of Planning and Zoning shall provide a certified copy of the updated Map to the Clerk of Council for storage with the record of council ordinances. 
   (e)   If the Zoning Districts Map is lost, destroyed, or damaged, the  Director of Planning and Zoning shall have a new map drawn.  No further Council authorization is required so long as no district boundaries are changed in this process.
