The applicant shall be required to furnish a surety bond, acceptable to Clerk-Treasurer, in the penal sum of the lesser of three times the value of the goods, wares and merchandise to be offered for sale or sold as shown by the inventory filed with the city or the sum of $2,000 payable to the city for the protection of the public and conditioned upon the faithful performance of his or her obligations as a transient vendor.
