(A) A vehicle other than a motorcycle or motor-driven cycle must be equipped with at least two head lamps and two tail lamps in proper working order, with at least one of the head lamps on each side of the front of the vehicle and with at least one of the tail lamps on each side of the rear of the vehicle.
(B) A motorcycle and motor-driven cycle must be equipped with at least one and not more than two head lamps unless the motorcycle was manufactured before January 1, 1956, is not required to be equipped with a head lamp and the motorcycle is not operated at the times when lighted head lamps and other illuminating devices are needed.
(C) Head lamps and tail lamps shall be used from dusk until dawn, when illumination is needed, and during other times that conditions warrant (such as during storms).
(D) Either a tail lamp or a separate lamp must be placed and constructed so as to illuminate the rear registration plate with a white light and make the plate clearly legible from a distance of 50 feet to the rear. A tail lamp or tail lamps, together with a separate lamp for illuminating the rear registration plate, must be wired so as to be lighted whenever the head lamps or auxiliary driving lamps are lighted.
