§ 31.02 OLD AGE AND SURVIVOR'S INSURANCE.
   (A)   The city hereby elects coverage under the old age and survivor's insurance as authorized by IC 5-10.1-3-1 et seq.

   (B)   All positions shall be covered under the old age and survivor's insurance adopted by division (A) except:
      (1)   Part-time positions, normally requiring 600 hours per year or less.
      (2)   Positions, the compensation for which is on a fee basis.
      (3)   Elected legislative officials.
      (4)   Elected executive officials.
      (5)   Elected judicial officials.

   (C)   For the purpose of carrying out the provisions of Title II, Section 218, of the Federal Social Security Act and amendments thereof, the agreement entered into between the state agency with the approval of the Governor and the Social Security Administrator is made a part of § 31.02 and shall constitute an integral part of the federal agreement between the city and the state agency and shall become a part of the agreement or modification of the agreement between the state and the Social Security Administrator. The city hereby explicitly agrees that it will fully perform the obligation of a political subdivision under such agreement. ('74 Code, § 2-4)
