§ 110.35 ILLEGAL SOLICITATION AND PEDDLING.
   Except as provided below, it shall be unlawful for any peddler or solicitor or for any person to peddle or solicit by going in an upon residential property within the city or ringing a doorbell or knocking on a door of a private residence, including an apartment within the city, for the purpose of soliciting orders for the sale of goods, wares, and merchandise, or peddling or hawking the same, unless such peddler or solicitor has been requested or invited to do so by the owner or occupant of such residence or apartment.
