§ 32.10  COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY.
   Pursuant to Neb. RS 18-2101 et seq., there is hereby created a community redevelopment authority which shall be known as the “Community Redevelopment Authority of the City of Auburn”. The Authority may exercise all of the power and authority granted to a community redevelopment authority under Neb. RS 18-2101 to 18-2144. Within 90 days after passage of this section, the Mayor, with the approval of the City Council, shall appoint five persons who shall constitute the Authority. The terms of the members of the Authority initially appointed shall be for one year, two years, three years, four years and five years, as designated by the Mayor in making the respective appointments. As the terms of the members of the Authority expire, the Mayor, with the approval of the City Council, shall appoint or reappoint a member of the Authority for a term of five years to succeed the member whose term expires. Vacancies shall be filled for any unexpired term in the same manner as the original appointment. Members of the Authority so appointed shall hold office until their successors have been appointed and qualified. All members of the Authority shall serve without compensation, but shall be entitled to be reimbursed for all necessary expenses incurred. The Authority shall organize by electing such statutory officers as may be necessary. No member or employee of the Authority shall have any interest directly or indirectly in any contract for property, materials or services to be required by the Authority. The Authority shall keep an accurate account of all its activities and of all receipts and disbursements and shall make at least an annual report of its activities, receipts and disbursements to the Mayor and City Council.
