Upon the payment of any individual occupation tax of the city, the City Clerk shall prepare a receipt therefor in duplicate, properly dated and specifying the person paying the tax and the amount paid, and shall issue a copy of the receipt to the person, firm, partnership, corporation or association paying the tax. The copy of the receipt issued to the person, firm, partnership, corporation or association paying the tax shall constitute the occupation tax certificate. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, partnership, corporation or association receiving an occupation tax certificate as hereinabove provided to fail, neglect or refuse to display the certificate in a prominent place or to carry the certificate in a way as to be easily accessible when business is being conducted.
