§ 70.46 REGISTRATION.
   The owners or lessees of golf carts shall obtain a permit for the golf cart from the town before operation on any public right-of-way. The registration process shall include an initial golf cart registration fee of $25. Annual renewal of golf cart permits shall be required, accompanied by a yearly fee of $25 to be paid on or before January 1 of each year. Initial registration fees and yearly renewal fees shall be paid to the Town Clerk-Treasurer. Before an initial golf cart permit is issued, inspection by the Town Code Enforcement Officer is required to ensure that the golf cart is insured and properly equipped. Such inspections will also be required for annual renewal of golf cart permits, to be completed on or before January 1 of each year. Decals reflecting a valid golf cart permit will be issued by the Code Enforcement Officer, and must be visibly affixed to all registered golf carts.
