Whoever shall wilfully, maliciously or negligently break, deface or destroy or otherwise injure any fire apparatus belonging to the city or any fire company, shall be subject to the penalty provided by section 1-4-1 of this code and, in addition thereto, the expenses which may be incurred in repairing the injuries committed shall be added to the penalty and form a part thereof.
