The purpose of this chapter is to:
(a) Support the intent of the M-U Mixed Use Overlay Zoning District as contained in the Township Zoning Code;
(b) Promote high quality development by utilizing appropriate building materials to create highly articulated architecture with a fully integrated streetscape;
(c) Provide for safe, convenient, direct pedestrian access to buildings and to and from public sidewalks, bus stops, crosswalks and between various buildings; and
(d) Provide a pedestrian-friendly character and atmosphere throughout the district with common use areas, courtyards, plazas, street trees, seating areas, coordinated street furnishings, ornamental lighting and pedestrian-scale signage and wayfinding.
