§ 816.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   JUKE BOX. A music vending machine, contrivance or device, which, upon the insertion of a coin, slug, token, plate, disc or key into a slot, crevice or other opening, or by the payment of a price, operates or may be operated for the emission of songs or music or for similar amusements.
   MECHANICAL OR ELECTRONIC AMUSEMENT DEVICE. A machine, contrivance or device, which, upon the insertion of a coin, slug, token, plate, disc or key into a slot, crevice or other opening, or by the payment of a price, may be operated or used as a game, entertainment or amusement, whether or not registering a score and whether or not a prize is offered. MECHANICAL OR ELECTRONIC AMUSEMENT DEVICE includes, but is not limited to, a marble machine, pinball machine, skill ball machine, mechanical grab machine, mechanical bowling machine, photoelectric shooting or target machine, electronic video game, air hockey table, football game or any game, operation or transaction similar thereto. MECHANICAL OR ELECTRONIC AMUSEMENT DEVICE does not include a device or machine which dispenses merchandise, such as candy, cigarettes and the like.
   OPERATOR. A person who displays or maintains, for use and operation, a juke box or mechanical or electronic amusement device or pool table or who otherwise permits the use or operation of such device for a fee or charge.
   PERSON. An individual, copartnership, association or corporation. Whenever used in any clause prescribing or imposing a penalty, PERSON, as applied to a copartnership or an association, means the partners or members thereof and, as applied to a corporation, means the officers thereof.
   POOL TABLE. A table with cushions or pockets upon which games of pool or billiards in any form are played, upon payment of a price, whether or not operated by the insertion of a coin, slug, token, plate, disc or key into a slot, crevice or other opening.
