The purpose of this chapter is to protect the health, safety, morals and welfare of the residents of the township by causing the removal of illegally parked vehicles from the public highways of the township and the removal of stored, wrecked, junked, stripped, partially dismantled and other motor vehicles, from both public and private property and to abate public nuisances caused by the storage, parking and accumulation of such motor vehicles which are detrimental to the health, safety, morals and welfare of the residents of the township and which constitute a peril to highway and traffic safety.
