It is unlawful for any person to deal, play or carry on, open or cause to be opened, or conduct or cause to be conducted, either as owner, employer or lessee, whether for hire or not, any game of faro, monte, roulette lausquenet, rough et noir, rondo, or any game played with cards, dice or any other device, or any slot machine, for money, checks, credit or any other representative of value.
