The City Parks and Recreation Board shall serve in an advisory capacity by helping the City identify all present and potential City owned parklands and all types of recreation within the corporate limits of the City; and creating a list of said parklands and recreation locations; study problems, determine needs and advise the City Manager and City Council of such; assist in parkland improvements and acquisitions; aid in acquiring revenue through gifts and grants; network with neighboring Parks boards in ways that will benefit all entities involved.
