Any pregnant supervisor, department head or nonunion full-time employee shall receive four weeks of paid maternity leave which shall not be deducted from such supervisors department heads or nonunion full-time employees accumulated sick leave.
Any such pregnant supervisor, department head or nonunion full-time employee may use such leave just prior to the delivery or after the birth of the child based upon the need of the qualifying supervisor, department head or nonunion full-time employee.
The City has determined extra leave shall be granted by the City to qualifying individuals based upon the medical need of the child or qualifying supervisors, department head or employee as certified by a physical. Such extra leave shall be limited to accumulated sick leave or leave without pay.
