121.01 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
   The position of Clerk of Council is established pursuant to the authority granted by City Charter Section 9, captioned “Appointees.” The Clerk of Council’s duties shall be as follows:
   (a)   Attend all meetings of City Council;
   (b)   Make a fair and accurate record of all City Council proceedings in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio;
   (c)   Maintain accurate records of all ordinances, resolutions and City Council Rules;
   (d)   Journalize City Council meetings, ordinances and resolutions, and properly distribute copies of the same;
   (e)   Make available, for viewing during regular Municipal business office hours, all ordinances, resolutions and Council minutes;
   (f)   Prepare City Council Committee agendas and reports/minutes;
   (g)   Draft correspondence and respond to in-coming communications;
   (h)   Maintain City Council meeting schedules;
   (i)   Provide photocopies of the following at said costs:
For photocopies of either legal or letter size documents, the fees shall be as follows:
For the first (1st) through twenty-fifth (25th) photocopy, there shall be no charge.
For twenty-six (26) or more photocopies, there shall be a fee of five cents ($.05) calculated from the first photocopy. Two (2) sided photocopies shall be charged at a rate of five cents ($.05) per sheet.
For video or cassette tapes, there shall be a charge for the replacement cost for the tapes and/or the reproduction (copying) cost for the tapes. Reproduction costs may only be charged if a commercial or professional service is contracted to provide the copy. If the City creates the copy, a reproduction fee may not be charged.
   (j)   Perform any other duties which may be prescribed by City Council or the laws of the State of Ohio..
   (k)   The position of Clerk of Council shall be full time and the hours of the Clerk of Council shall be established by City Council.
   (l)   The financial compensation of the Clerk of Council shall be established by City Council.
   (m)   The President of City Council shall be the authority authorized to execute documents approving all administrative matters relating to the administrative duties of the Clerk of Council. (Ord. 2007-93. Passed 8-20-07.)
