1361.17 CONSTRUCTION INTERRUPTED BY STOP WORK ORDER.
   Any owner or contractor who is engaged in repairing, remodeling, constructing, reconstructing or demolishing a residential structure in the City who is served with a "stop work" or equivalent order by a building inspector shall comply with such order. Further, within a reasonable time, not to exceed 60 days unless authorized by the City Manager, the individual subject to the "stop work" order shall undertake all action necessary to satisfy the objections of the building inspector who ordered work stopped. It is the affirmative duty of the person subject to a "stop work" order to obtain permission to resume work, and resume work, within the foregoing 60-day period unless a written extension is obtained from the Manager. In the alternative, the person involved in the work shall put the affected structure back into the condition in which it existed prior to the commencement of the work interrupted by the stop work order.
