1323.01 HOUSE MOVER'S LICENSE REQUIRED; FEE AND INSURANCE.
No person shall engage in the business or occupation of moving any building or structure within the corporate limits of the City unless he obtains an annual house mover’s license from the City Manager. Licenses shall be issued upon the payment of an annual fee as provided in Section 1315.07; provided the individual mover, company, business, or corporation applying for said license submits evidence of insurance approved by the City Solicitor indemnifying the applicant and the City in the sum of not less than three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) for property damage and five hundred thousand dollars/one million dollars ($500,000/$1,000,000) for death or personal injury.
The insurance policy shall name the City as an insured and, further, that the applicant and his insurer holds the City harmless against any and all liabilities, judgments, damages, costs and expenses which may, in any manner, accrue or arise against the City as a consequence of the City granting any permit for the moving of any house or structure or the performance of any work pursuant thereto.
