1315.08 PERMIT REQUIRED PRIOR TO WORK COMMENCEMENT.
   (a)   Before any electric wiring or electrical apparatus shall be installed for lighting or power purposes, or any electrical construction work done except minor repair work, a permit shall be obtained from the Building Inspector by the owner or agent of the property on which the installation is to be made.
   (b)   No contractor, workman or other person shall proceed with any electrical wiring or the installation of any electrical apparatus for lighting or power purposes, or with any electrical construction work, except minor repairs, unless a permit has been obtained from the Building Inspector. If the application shows that the proposed work will conform to the provisions of City ordinances and other laws relating thereto, the Building Inspector shall issue a permit upon the payment by the applicant of the fees herein required.
