1315.05 PERMIT AND PERFORMANCE BOND REQUIRED FOR WRECKING OR DEMOLITION.
   Before proceeding with the wrecking, tearing down, demolition or removal of any building or other structure greater than 800 square feet, a permit therefore shall be obtained from the Building Inspector, the City Engineer, the acting City Engineer or their appropriate agent. The permit shall be issued for a period not to exceed thirty days. The permit shall not be issued unless the owner of the structure or the owner's agent shall submit to the Building Inspector, the City Engineer, the acting City Engineer or their appropriate agent, a performance bond or cash equivalent in a sum equal to the amount of funds necessary to seal off any utility lines and services, to clear debris resulting from the wrecking, tearing down, demolition or removal, and to fill any fosse resulting from the wrecking, tearing down, demolition or removal. The determination of the amount required shall be made by the Building Inspector, the City Engineer, the acting City Engineer or their appropriate agent. Application for the permit shall be made by the owner of the structure or his agent to the Building Inspector, the City Engineer, the acting City Engineer or their appropriate agent, who shall issue the permit on payment of the required fee and the submission of the performance bond.
