There shall be a charge for all items, materials or personal property taken to and dumped or left at Ashtabula, Ohio's Transfer Station as follows:

(b) Special Service. The charge or fee for items, material, personal property .or trash that is above the limits set forth in this ordinance, cannot be hauled to the City Transfer station by the resident or is not suitable to be placed into a City of Ashtabula garbage truck for transport to the City of Ashtabula's Transfer Station shall be determined by visually inspecting the material to be disposed by a Sanitation Employee. The fee shall be determined by approximate weight and additional charges for manpower and vehicles/equipment needed to dispose of materials. Once a rate is established, the fee for service must be paid in advance. Items requiring this special service shall not be placed on the tree lawn until contacting the Sanitation Department and a date to inspect the material is established. Items can be placed at the curb no earlier than 6:00 p.m. on the day before said inspection is scheduled.
