(A) Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall upon conviction of a first offense be guilty of a violation and be fined not less than $100 and not more than $250. Any person convicted of a subsequent violation of this chapter within two years of a prior conviction under this chapter shall be fined not less than $250 nor more than $500.
(B) Nothing in this chapter shall be interpreted to allow golf carts to operate on sidewalks, in bike lanes, within city parks, or on any other area of the city other than city streets designated in § 75.02. Nor shall anything in this chapter be interpreted to allow the operation of golf carts not meeting the full definition of § 75.01 hereof to operate on any public roadway anywhere in the City of Ashland.
