There shall be such positions as City Animal Control Officer(s) as determined by the City Commission, whose duties and responsibilities shall be to enforce the provisions of this subchapter within the corporate limits of the City of Ashland, in assistance of and in cooperation with the Boyd County Dog Warden. The position(s) shall have the general duties existing in the current city Pay and Classification Plan. All animals picked up by the City Animal Control Officer(s) shall be taken to the Boyd County Animal Shelter operated by Boyd Fiscal Court, unless otherwise provided in this subchapter.
