§ 95.33 PROCEDURE.
   (A)   Suppression. Captains shall accurately code false alarm calls according to NFIRS.
   (B)   Fire prevention.
      (1)   Review Firehouse Journal Report of previous day(s) activities to identify false alarms in their area of responsibility.
      (2)   If alarms are first offense for location:
         (a)   Record alarm history in Fire Prevention database as first offense. If there are multiple alarms received before initial notice, record all alarms as first offense.
         (b)   Generate False Fire Alarm Notification letter.
         (c)   Mail notification letter with a copy of alarm history to responsible party via regular mail.
         (d)   Document any visits or phone calls in the Fire Prevention database.
      (3)   If alarms are second offense for location:
         (a)   Record alarm history in Fire Prevention database. If notification, either by mail or telephone or in person, has been received then record as second offense.
         (b)   Generate False Fire Alarm Notification letter.
         (c)   Mail notification letter with a copy of alarm history to responsible party via regular mail.
         (d)   Document any visits or phone calls in Fire Prevention database.
      (4)   If alarms are third offense for location:
         (a)   Record alarm history in Fire Prevention database as third offense.
         (b)   Issue Administrative Citation to the responsible party.
         (c)   Mail citation with a copy of alarm history to responsible party via certified mail.
         (d)   Send all supporting documentation of citation to the Administrative Citation Program Manager per the Administrative Citation Policy and Procedure.
      (5)   If alarms are fourth offense for location: record alarm history in Fire Prevention database. If citation has been received by responsible party, an additional citation can be issued for a second offense fine in the citation fine schedule.
      (6)   If alarms are fifth offense for location: record alarm history in Fire Prevention database. If second citation has been received by responsible party, an additional citation can be issued for a third offense fine in the citation fine schedule.
