§ 151.17 PERMIT FEE SCHEDULES; PERMIT VALUATIONS.
   (A)   Building permit fees.
      (1)   No permit shall be issued until the fees prescribed in this section shall have been paid. No amendment to a permit shall be approved until the additional fee, if any, due to an increase in the estimated cost of the building or structure, shall have been paid.
      (2)   Exception: Ramps constructed with wood are not required to pay a permit fee, but are still required to have a building permit.
      (3)   All construction and remodeling:

100% surcharge for requests received after-the-fact.
 
   (B)   State jurisdiction. 
      (1)   For all projects that the Commonwealth of Kentucky has jurisdiction over, a permit fee will only be charged to cover services provided, if any, by the City of Ashland Building Department.
      (2)   One hundred percent surcharge for requests received after construction has started.
   (C)   Plan review fees. No permit shall be issued where a plan review is required until the fees prescribed in this section have been paid. No amendment to a permit shall be approved until the additional fee, if any, due to an increase in the plan review, shall have been paid.
   (D)   All plan review. The city hereby adopts by reference the Plan Review Fee Schedule as established by the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the 2018 Kentucky Building Code, effective January 2019.
