§ 120.69 OBTAINING AND RENEWING LICENSE.
   (A)   Those persons desiring to become electrical contractors in the city must first pass the state approved test for electrical contractor administered by the National Assessment Institute.
   (B)   Satisfactory completion of the electrical contractor examination requirement contained in KRS 227.490, upon application and payment of the requisite fees, is required to obtain an electrical contractor certificate issued by the Kentucky Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction.
   (C)   Any person who holds a valid electrical contractor license issued by the city prior to the effective date of Ord. 97-1993, passed 9-2-93, may, within thirty (30) days of the expiration of the license, renew the license without taking an examination.
   (D)   Electrical contractors whose license has expired for over one year shall be required to be re-examined before renewing their license.
