A separate water tap and meter shall be required for each lot or tract of land upon which a residence, mobile home, dwelling unit or business establishment requiring water is located except as follows:
A. A lot containing more than one residence or business establishment under the same ownership may be serviced by one water tap and meter under a single monthly minimum charge. (1996 Code § 13.04.060)
B. Separate adjoining tracts or lots under the same ownership may be serviced by one water tap and meter, but if there are two (2) or more residences or business establishments on the lots, an appropriate monthly minimum charge for the first seven thousand (7,000) gallons of water used inside the city limits and six thousand (6,000) gallons of water used outside the city limits shall be paid for each lot.
