A. Officers Designated: The appointive officers of the city shall be the city clerk, city treasurer, police chief, and such other officers as the city council shall authorize from time to time by resolution.
B. Offices Combined: The city council may combine any appointed offices as necessary for the efficient operation of city government or in the best interest of the city. The titles of the combined appointive offices shall be done by resolution.
C. Deputies: The city council may provide for deputy appointed officials who may exercise the powers granted the appointed officials.
D. Contract: The city council may fill by contract any of the appointed offices as necessary for the efficient operation of city government or in the best interest of the city. (Ord. 740, 11-14-2006)
