From and after the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter 1 , it shall be unlawful for any person under the age of twenty one (21) years to drive or operate a taxicab for hire or profit on the streets of the city, or for any person owning or operating a taxicab to allow or permit any person under the age of twenty one (21) years to so drive a taxicab. Any person violating any provision of this section shall be subject to penalty as provided in title 1, chapter 4 of this code. (1996 Code §§ 5.28.060, 5.28.080; amd. 2002 Code)
