4-5-3: TAXICAB DRIVERS:
   A.   Chauffeur's License Required: All persons driving or operating taxicabs within the city shall have a current chauffeur's license (CDL) issued by the state of New Mexico in good standing and shall be over the age of twenty one (21) years, and no person shall drive or operate a taxicab within the city who does not have such chauffeur's license in his possession. (1996 Code § 5.28.090)
   B.   Fingerprinting: No person shall be employed to drive or operate a taxicab in the city until such person has been fingerprinted by the police department of the city at the expense of the city. (1996 Code § 5.28.100)
   C.   Photograph Identification: A photograph of each taxicab driver, on which shall appear his full name, shall be firmly placed in each taxicab operated in the city by such taxicab driver, and in such a place as each passenger shall have a full view of same. (1996 Code § 5.28.110)
   D.   Penalties: Any person violating any provision of this section or any owner of a taxicab who permits the same to be operated in violation of this section shall be subject to penalty as provided in title 1, chapter 4 of this code, in the discretion of the court.
