The following words and terms, when used in this chapter, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section:
OWNER: Includes any person who holds the legal title to a motor vehicle, or the conditional vendee in a conditional sales contract covering the sale of such motor vehicle, who has the immediate right of possession. Such person shall be deemed the owner of such vehicle for the purpose of this chapter.
PERSON: Includes individuals, firms, copartners, corporations and associations of any kind or character.
TAXICAB: Includes all motor vehicles operated for hire or for profit in transporting passengers from place to place in the city, and having a normal capacity of not more than seven (7) persons. (1996 Code § 5.28.010)
