Any commission member who shall miss two (2) consecutive meetings without excuse; that is, without some good reason or prior commitment causing the member to miss two (2) consecutive meetings, shall be subject to removal from the commission for cause. Any commission member having a proper reason for not being in attendance at a regular commission meeting shall get in touch with the chairman of the commission prior to the meeting, and the chairman shall excuse the commission member from attending the meeting if the excuse is valid and sufficient, and the commission member's absence from the meeting shall thereupon be considered as an excused absence.
